Dear Beth and family,

Freddie and I met at Portland High School his freshman year and we have been friends ever since. He was always a joy to be around. We stayed in touch over the many years. I will miss him greatly. My love and sympathy to Beth and family.

Beth our prayers and sympathy are with you and all your families. Bud first met Fred at the Portland Elks. Fred helped him thru his first year as Exalted Ruler. Fred and Bud were the only two from Portland Lodge to be District Deputy.

In sympathy, Bud & Patti St.Pierre

I was very sad to here about Fred's passing. My father Ron Broadhurst worked with him at Prudential and I remember Fred very fondly. He would come to the house and was always very interested in mine and my siblings doings. I still have a newspaper article he sent me during my athletic days at Gorham HS ( 30 yrs ago) congratulating me!! My deepest sympathies are with you all at this time.

We were so sad to hear. Your Mom and Dad were like an " Ozzie and Harriet " to me...perfect!
They were certainty role models to many.
Our ❤️ and sympathy to you all.
Remember all the happy times as a family.
We wish we were in Maine to support you.
Your Mom is going to need you. She lost the " love of her life".
Sincerely,
Rick and Sue

Fred Leonie's son Larry and I graduated from Portland High School in 1968. Just about every morning Fred, along with Larry, would give me a ride to school from my home in East Deering. He lived a long and honorable life. I would like to offer my deepest condolences to his wife Beth, my old school buddy, Larry, his older brother Rick, and family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Dear Aunt Beth, Rick, and Larry,
I feel so blessed to have visited with Uncle Freddie in January. He was in such great spirits that Sunday that we left- laughing and joking around as he always loved to do. We will miss him. As Karen said, even though we lived far away you both always made us feel loved and welcomed when we came to visit. Love you! Kenny and Lloyd

Aunt Beth, Rick & Larry,
Uncle Freddie was such a wonderful man who had a way of making you feel special when you were with him. Even though we lived so far away and didn't see each other often the both of you hold a special place in my heart. I will miss him dearly. How lucky all of us are to have such beautiful memories of him. My heart goes out to all of you.

Love, Karen & Jim
