It has been nearly 70 years since the Summit Street School was closed and that was the last we saw of "Dickie" as hw was known. Summit Street was a 2 room 7 grade school house which Dickie maintained. He was out there twice a day to stoke the furnace and keep the school up and managed to know most of the kids by name even though he wasn't around much when the kids were.

I guess he made an impression on me since after all this time I remember him and his '51 Chevy well.

Kathy and Steve sorry for your loss. I will miss his humor at the lunch table in zolov there was never a dull moment as long as he was in the room. We all loved him.
