Travis P. Soule, 53, of Portland, Maine, died unexpectedly due to a heart attack, Saturday, February 17, 2018, while enjoying one of his passions, Saturday spin class.
Travis was born in Bangor, ME on April 9, 1964 to the late Joanne C. Soule and late Philip H. Soule. He was a proud Deering High School alumnus from the class of 1982, where he was a three sport varsity athlete in football, wrestling and outdoor track. He went on to Philips Exeter Academy and also wrestled at Springfield College in Massachusetts. Travis was always involved in his life passions which included participating and competing in athletics, exercising, cycling and cooking.
In his personal life, Travis earned his black belt from the Tony Fournier School of Karate. He was also a National Champion canoeist with his father Phil. Travis also attended the Bethel Christian Church in Westbrook. In his professional life, Travis worked for 10 years at Yankee Ford in South Portland. Travis was also the Sales Manager at Yankee Ford, where he recently earned the Ford Level 4 Status Award, for the second year in a row. This award is so prestigious that only 22 sales people in the country earn this annually and just two in New England.
Travis touched the lives of many people and created and maintained life-long relationships that span the course of his life. He is survived by: the love of his life, Josiane Soule; children, Isaiah Soule, Maddison Soule and Philip Soule; sister, Kristen Soule of Gorham, ME; brothers, Bill Soule and his wife Wendy Soule of Buxton, ME and Mort Soule and his wife Yvonne Soule of Portland, ME. He is also survived by dozens of nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 -7:00 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2018 with a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 23, 2018, both at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Ave., Portland. Interment will take place at Brooklawn Memorial Park.
