Portland-Theresa G. (Terry) Talbot, 92, passed away peacefully at Maine Medical Center on Monday March 8, 2021.
Terry was born in Houlton, Maine on April 1, 1928 to Miles and Bertha (Smith) Gildred, she was the youngest of three children. In her early years she worked for a large grocery store chain where she would travel and train incoming cashiers at new store openings.
On November 15, 1958 she married Kenneth W. Talbot "the love of my life" as she referred to him and together, they raised three children. Terry was a stay at home mom for 25 years. In 1981 she returned to work as a clerk for Pratt Abbott Drycleaners, she worked at the Westgate location for 25 years until retiring at the age of 77.
A force to be reckoned with, she was a wonderful caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Terry was an avid Red Sox fan and never missed a televised game, ever. She also looked forward to her yearly trips to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, she loved family get togethers, playing cards and LCR. She and Kenny also enjoyed coffee with a group of friends that would meet 2-3 times a week at McDonalds in Westbrook.
Terry was predeceased by her parents, her brother Ronald and her sister, Gladys Raymond.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Kenny, son Scott (Tammy Zsiga), daughters Laurie Butts (Harold) and Lisa Talbot, she is also survived by her three grandchildren Nikki Rollins (Luke), Brian Butts (Shelly) and Kristen Butts (George Grabler) and her three great grandsons, Ethan Rollins, Liam and Logan Grabler.
At Terry's request, there will be no service. Please remember her for her wit, sense of humor and her love for life, family and friends.
