Kathi, I am so sorry for your loss. Steve was a great guy and has left us too soon. DPW was never the same after he retired the first time.

Take care, Judy Harris

Words can not adequately express my sadness at learning of Steve's passing. Please accept my most sincere condolences. I have fond memories of Steve during my tenure as a city councilor. And of course, who can forget the wedding I performed at the park on Munjoy Hill, surrounded by family and so much love! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

I was so sad to learn of Steve's death. He was far too young and too kind to leave. Kathi and family, my condolences on this loss for you especially and for all of us.

Thank you Liz - we were lucky to find each other thru working at the City. Our family was always MUCH bigger than our bloodlines; we were blessed with co-workers who are/were true friends.

Kathi, my deepest condolences to you and Steves family. During my tenure as DPW Director, I was the beneficiary of Steves calm get it done attitude. He was admired by me and all in the department as an honest, forthright professional who cared as much about his peers as accomplishing the task at hand. I know I always felt secure in his insight and accomplishments. I am grateful to have worked with and get to know Steve as a friend. It brings me great comfort to know that you and he could enjoy a blessed love and share the joy of family and travel. He will be missed. May you be forever filled with the memory of your shared love. Fondly, Nadeen Daniels
