Greene-Our beautiful daughter, Samantha Lynn Timmins, born March 30th, 1995, died unexpectedly at just 27 years old, on November 15th, 2022. Sam leaves behind her mother who misses her so much, Shelby Briggs, her stepdad Christopher Gresham, her two younger siblings, Isabel Often & PJ Often, her two dogs Frank & Cleo, her two very best friends, Amber Damico & Michaela Smith, & many other friends & family who loved and adored her.
Samantha loved animals, Maine’s majestic wilderness, Moosehead Lake, the ocean, the rivers, streams, hills, & farmlands. She loved her dogs like they were royalty & referred to her dog Frank as her soulmate & the two each devoted themselves to one another as though they were just that. Samantha was a fun-loving young woman with a beautiful heart & the most gorgeous smile. She was an empath who was filled with kindness, never meeting a stranger & always saw the very best in people. Samantha’s laugh was sensational & met & comforted her mother’s soul in a way no words could ever convey. She shared that laugh with many & had hilariously personal jokes with each of her loved ones but especially with her mother & siblings. Sam was notorious for lightening the mood at serious occasions by telling silly jokes that beckoned laughs from all around because her delightfully contagious laughter could reach even the weariest.

Samantha’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10th at 1PM, at A.T. Hutchins, located at 660 Brighton Avenue in Portland. All who loved her, or those who love & support her family members, are welcome to attend.
Samantha would want any donations to go to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland to repay them for all of the times her beloved late dog, Lily, was “arrested” for running loose & held overnight there awaiting bail.
