Rachelle Lynn Leavitt

Rachelle Lynn Leavitt, 40, of Scarborough, passed away unexpectedly due to medical conditions on May 2, 2022. Rachelle grew up in Portland, a town she loved and never left. She worked as a housekeeper for several years.

Rachelle enjoyed spending time with her children and family. She loved singing karaoke with her them. She had the biggest heart and was such a caring individual. Rachelle was very protective of her family and friends! She had lots of friends and made them easily. She had a contagious laugh that one will never forget. Rachelle will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Rachelle was predeceased by her father Michael D. Leavitt; her grandparents on both sides; and her stepfather who aided in raising her, Brian J. Payer. Rachelle is survived by her mother, Juanita Gronlund and her stepfather, Karl Gronlund; her stepmother, Tabathe Brown; her children, Gabriella Scheetz-Leavitt, Sean Plummer, and Nickelle Leavitt-Forest; her partner, Gary Forest; her sisters, Dynelle Beaulieu, Michelle Sibler, Ashley Leavitt, Jayme Myrick; her brothers, Peter Leavitt, Michael Leavitt and Philip Payer; and many nieces and nephews.

Juanita requested a Celebration of Life be held in Rachelle’s honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Rachelle’s loved one to join us in celebrating her beautiful life. Visiting Hours will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at A. T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Ave, Portland. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 PM at Pizzaiolo, 865 Forest Ave. Portland.
