I am so sorry to hear about the passing of my old Munjoy Hill friend, Pete Profenno. As long time residents of Morning Street, the Profennos were one of the best known and most beloved families on Munjoy Hill. Pete and I were the same age and we shared many of the same interests. He was a great guy. I will never forget him and I miss him already. Farewell and Godspeed old friend. May the good Lord rest your soul in Heaven.

I’m very sorry to hear about Peters passing. I worked with Peter at the Hannaford Meat Plant in South Portland. I was in college. at the time when I met Peter. The constant smile was his gift. Peter was a true gentleman that made us laugh. I really enjoyed my two years with him. You couldn’t ask for a better friend and a great guy. Kerry Kells

Pete, I will always remember our days as Cub Scouts on the Hill, my uncle Bernie was Scout master. We were two of The 7 Dwarfs in Miss Mead’s fourth grade production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs that we performed for Emerson school and then we’re on TV on The Youth Cavalcade show. Then when I returned to Portland we reconnected sophomore year at PHS and played JV football. I will always remember these things and more. My sincere condolences for your family.
