Paula L. Marquis

Paula L. Marquis, age 60, passed away after a courageous battle with lung cancer on Monday, October 15, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born on March 29, 1958, in Frenchville, to Donald and Aline (Paradis) Marquis. She was a graduate of Wisdom High School.

Paula loved to laugh and had unconditional love for her family and friends. She had a great sense of adventure and was able to persevere past any obstacle. She was often described as strong, independent, thoughtful, considerate, determined and diligent.

Paula loved to cook, sew, decorate, read, listen to music and travel. Her greatest passion was her family, she cherished spending time with her children and nieces and nephews.

Paula is survived by her two sons, Todd Michaud and his partner Jennifer Brayall and Sonny Michaud; mother, Aline Marquis; sisters, Linda Emond and her husband Lionel, Gloria O'Brien and her husband Jim, Helen Michaud, Lisa Carnevale and Sandra Winters; brothers, Donald Marquis, David Marquis and his wife Joan, Daniel Marquis and his wife Cecile and Thomas Marquis and his wife Anne; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Donald Marquis and brother, Peter Marquis.

A Celebration of Paula’s Life will be held at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha on Saturday, November 24 at 10 AM.
