My husband, daughter and I only lived acrosss from Rita and Paul for a couple of years but they have made a lasting impact to my life. I had the pleasure of bringing my daughter Kelly over to visit them several times a week. Rita loved commenting on Kelly’s shoes and they both joyously listened to a new song she learned or encouraged her to jump in the puddles on their driveway. They taught her where they kept their chip ahoys so when she opened the bottom draw they would whip out the placemat and napkins. Paul enjoyed how Kelly nibbled away at it slowly. I recall Paul talking a lot about his grandson Drew, sharing happy moments they had or something Drew had done.

Paul always had a smile and a good sense of humor. They both will be forever in my heart! I enjoyed all the photos you posted. Paul was very proud of his family. I’m so sorry for your loss. He was an amazing family man!
Love,

My husband Bruce and I met Paul several years ago in Seminole Fl at the bowling alley. We became friends very quickly as Bruce was born and raised in South Portland Me and one of his brothers still lives in Cape Elizabeth not far from where Paul lived. He was so down to earth, funny and one heck of a bowler considering his age.
I also discovered he liked to play Bingo and one of my girlfriends played at Holy Cross with him.
But all that aside, Paul was just one heck of a nice guy, a good person when that counted for something. I last spoke to him January of ‘23 and regret that I only just found out today of his passing. We’ll miss you, Paul.

Dan and I will always cherish our friendship with Mr. C.
His company, his stories and his cribbage skills were all amazing. I loved picking strawberries in Cape Elizabeth and dropping him off some to taste. He was a special person and will be very missed- our hearts are with him and his family.

Uncle Paul was the last of his generation in my family. Paul was married to my mother's twin sister Rita. I spent the summer of my 14th year at their home in Cape Elizabeth with my cousins Robert, Marion, Richard and David. It was the best summer in my memory. I was fortunate to see Paul just several days before he died. He was happy to tell me about the wonderful birthday he celebrated with his family at Easter time. Despite the fact he had just had eye surgery he was working diligently on filing his income tax return prior to the deadline, like the good American and honorable man he was. A really special guy, may he rest in peace.

I will never forget our winters in Florida and summers up to the camp on Sebago Lake as well as the many other great times we have had. I will never forget the special friendship that we shared. Until we meet again...
