Patricia Ann (“Pat”) Keen, of Lebanon, Maine, daughter of the late Oscar and Eva Batchelder from Hampton, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2020, after a long battle with Alzheimers Disease. Pat was 78.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Gerald Keen, her two daughters Susan Barry and Janet Keen, her grandson Christopher Barry and his wife Hannah, nieces and nephews, and beloved life-long friends.
Pat was born on September 7th, 1942, and grew up in Hampton, New Hampshire, founded by her ancestor Stephen Bachiler. Pat married the love of her life, Jerry, on June 18th, 1961 and raised a family while working many years in banking, retail, and driving a school bus. Pat had a strong faith and grew up in the First United Methodist Church in Hampton, and more recently was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rochester, New Hampshire. She enjoyed giving her time to church events and causes helping others. Pat had a passion for sewing, and made and donated hundreds of children’s quilts over the years to non-profit organizations providing blankets to children in need.
Pat will be forever remembered for her sense of humor and loving ways, and deeply missed by those who knew her, loved her, and those who lovingly cared for her.
At Pat’s request there will not be a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, those who desire to do so may donate to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in honor of Pat at alzfdn.org.
