Mary Sue Napolitano Capozza

Mary Sue Napolitano Capozza, 80 years old, of Falmouth passed away after a long battle with cancer on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. She was born on June 23, 1941 in Portland to Nunzi and Sara (Lee) Napolitano. She married Francis “Chuck” Capozza in February 1978. She attended Deering High School, where she made many friends and was voted most popular all four years. She later attended Gray’s Business College. Mary Sue worked in reception and bookkeeping at Maine Savings Bank, Hughes Hardware, and her husband’s business Chuck Capozza Plumbing, but she most enjoyed her years as a homemaker.

Mary Sue enjoyed time in Italy, and lived in Boston, MA and Manhattan Beach, CA before settling back in Maine in 1972. She especially enjoyed family dinners, going out for ice cream, and her cats. She loved to take in the scenery at Town Landing, where she watched the boats on the water. Mary Sue was also a music fan. She learned to play the accordion at a young age, and later in life was learning to play the piano. Her favorite musician was Elvis and she enjoyed many styles of music from the same era. Mary Sue had several very dear, lifelong friends. She was adored by her nieces and nephews for her warm heart that matched her beautiful exterior. She was a true eternal beauty.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Capozza, her parents Nunzi and Sara Napolitano, and her brother Vernon Napolitano. Survivors include her siblings; Arthur Napolitano of Portland, Janet A.
