I loved, still love my Aunt Janey. She was always there for me, like a 2nd mother. I was very lucky to have her so near to my immediate nuclear family. She was a powerful role model, helped me reason through many difficult transitions and life stages - emotionally, philosophically and even physically. During high school, I fell ill with an auto-immune disease, just as my immediate family had planned to move to a new town, several hours’ drive away. My formidable Aunt Janey looked after me with exquisite care and comfort, whilst I stayed behind and they moved on to set up our new home. I know I’m just one in a million people who’ve benefited from her innate and cultivated set of skills as a healer. I would not have survived without my dear Aunt Janey. I owe her a debt I can never repay, and for which I’m eternally grateful. I miss her so much. Rest in peace, rest in power, fabulous Aunt Janey. Xxxxx 💖✨✨

I was blessed to work with Janey in ICU right out of nursing school.  She taught me two valuable lessons.  First, she taught me that the letters after your name don't make you a great nurse.  Janey was as intelligent and compassionate as any MSN nurse I've ever met.  Second, I had just graduated and completed orientation and had just found out I was assigned to recover my first open heart surgery patient.  I was horrified!!  Janey told me "Sometimes the medical profession can do everything right and the patient still dies, and sometimes, the we can do EVERYTHING wrong and the patient still lives.  There is only one God and we are not Him!  He is in control".  After 25 years, that is the best wisdom any nurse has shared with me.  She had a beautiful spirit, WICKEDLY  funny and loving.  Doctors and nurses greatly respected Janey and her judgement.  God blessed my life knowing Janey!  Enjoy Jesus, Janey.  I love you

Janey was my sister, best friend and confidant.  We talked daily for many years.  We prayed together for one another and our children.  She was highly respected in her chosen field for her patient care and training new nurses in nursing skills they needed to be successful.  I will miss her deeply, especially her humor and caring ways.  She could make me laugh with a gesture or a one syllable word.  I am confident she is reunited with her loved ones and laughing with the angels.
