My sincere condolences to Mark’s family. I have so many memories of mark. He was one of the first members i met after joining Casco Fire Department. He and kurt and Tom taught me the many nuances of assembling the ferris wheel for Casco Days , and further educating me on how to load and control the wheel when it still ran off the old positive ground motor and tempermental brake system. My children all grew up frequenting the fire stations and Casco day park along with his boys. He and Becky had the old “red phone system “for fire and rescue services right in their home, as well as running a daycare out of their home as well. He and his family have given so much to our community!!! Mark also gave many hours coaching T-ball and baseball for two of my boys. It was a truly a privilege to serve alongside Mark, he was high energy, and people were drawn to him. He will always have a special place in my heart.!!

My sincere condolences to all who Mark had the privilege of knowing. He was a wonderful man. I worked with him at Casco Bay for seven years. He taught me a lot of things helpful to the job and life! He always had the best music playing in his shop out back. He was a generous person who never minded helping others. I moved to North Carolina and he called me out of the blue and said yeah it’s Mark I’m a a flea market and saw this painting of the city you grew up in want me to buy it for you. Just pay me back in beer from North Carolina! That’s was Mark. Well, buddy blessings on your new journey love you. Cherie Blake
