Louis "Louie" Genero Distasio Jr.

Louie was a very dear friend of mine. We were friends for 15 years and even when I moved to Massachusetts he stayed in touch with me and always checked on me and my girls. When we came back to Maine he was the first person we visited the girls fell in love with their " Uncle" Louie. He checked on us every week to make sure we were ok. He was a true friend and a genuine person. The world was a better place with him in it. I'm so heartbroken and my condolences goes out to his entire family. What an amazing person he was he will be missed but his memory will never be forgotten. I'm so blessed to have met him and have had him as a friend. Rest in peace and next time the girls and I see a cardinal I know it's you checking on us like you always did. To his children who he loved more than anything I'm so sorry for your loss. I know there was no one more important to him than children. Louie you will never be forgotten and this world will not be the same without you.

I have known Louie for quite a few years. He saw me go through my ups and downs in life and he was a huge cheerleader of mine. When I suddenly lost the love of my life Louie was always there to bring a smile to my face. He helped me more than he will ever know. Unfortunately I just found out today, my condolences to Nick and the rest of his family that he loved and adored.
