Caribou-Linda A. Sheldon, 73, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House with her loving family by her side. She was born February 15, 1948 in New Haven Connecticut, the daughter of Robert and Annettie (Merrithew) LaFontaine.
Linda and her family moved to Caribou in 1971. She worked in the community at Sincock School, Hilltop, Sampson’s and Hannaford touching many lives through out these years. In the last 15 years she successfully ran her own scrapbook business meeting and making many great friends. But her favorite job was being a grandmother to her four grandkids.
Linda was a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family unconditionally. She leaves behind her husband, Richard (Dick) Sheldon, Jr., her children, Kim Merritt and her husband Peter, Richard (Chip) Sheldon III and his wife JayLynn. Her grandchildren and their spouses, Ashley, Harold and McGuire Hull, Alicia Clark, Courtney and Jeremy Miller, and Richard (Ricky) Sheldon IV. She also leaves behind a special sister, Christine (Chrissy) and Cliff Ridley.
She is predeceased by her parents and two great grandson’s Daemyn and Andrew.
A celebration of life will be held at Living Water Apostolic Church 133 Fort Fairfield Rd, Caribou, at 6pm, on Friday, July 9, 2021.
