Larry was a wonderful lifelong friend since first meeting in jr. high. We both shared summers at Little Sebago lake along with many friends from all over the U.S. .Larry was a very friendly and 0utgoing person who everyone enjoyed being around. We will all miss his warm and friendly smile. Thanks Larry for your friendship and good times shared.
Your good friend, Jim Hamblet

It seems as if Larry Kimball was always smiling! For his yearbook write-up , he told us about his favorite things -- playing football and track, spending weekends with the gang, going to camp during the summer especially for the water-skiing and Saturday afternoons with S. P. girls. Did that mean South Portland? I was living out of state for many years, but after I returned Terry and I visited the new Portland Museum of Art and were surprised to see Larry working there as a guide. He greeted us as if we were all meeting in the halls of Deering High in 1963! He assured us that he really enjoyed talking folks and telling them how to navigate in this amazing building to find the painting or sculpture in which they were most interested. When Terry returned to elementary schools as a Sub, he found Larry again as a Crossing Guard at Ocean Avenue! Larry was much beloved by kindergarteners through 5th graders. Nothing better than a smiling welcome on those days when you were not sure you really wanted to go to school!

I was fortunate to have Larry as a friend, and I am sad at his passing. Larry had a great personality, and a positive attitude toward life.
