John (Jay) Kazenski, of Scarborough, ME, passed away on September 30, 2021. He was born on December 29, 1964 to Kathryn and John T. Kazenski.
Growing up in Cape Elizabeth, Jay called a large group of neighborhood kids his friends. Despite some physical limitations, he always tried his best. He would practice for hours catching fly balls with his sister so he would be an asset to his little league team. After college, Jay went into the hospitality industry, first in restaurants and later in hotels. He had many stories about his time at The Eastland and felt very much at home with the folks at AmeriSuites.
Jay enjoyed spending time with his nephews, taking them to Beech Ridge Speedway and the movies. He especially loved R/C car racing with Michael.
Jay was predeceased by his mother, Kathryn Kazenski.
He is survived by his father, John T. Kazenski, sister, Regina, her husband Richard, and his nephews Michael, Nicholas, and Jake, along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He will be missed by all of us.
A private ceremony will be held at Riverside Memorial Cemetery, Cape Elizabeth.
