You were Chief when I joined in 76, and everybody was equally important in your eyes. A few years ago when I was President at the firehouse and in need of some help, you returned to help me and the firehouse through a rough time for which I will be eternally grateful. I will always treasure and miss our long conversations. The back stepping crew were your 'Boys" and will miss our leader. Rest easy Chief. Forever in our hearts and memories

We didnt meet Chief until 2021 but he quickly became a special friend as we enjoyed his company. We miss him but as John says he had a good run. (88 years; amazing career; special family). Our sympathy, Nancy & John Wakefield.

My deepest condolences to the RICHARDSON family. The Chief was a devoted family man. He helped shape so many lives with his dedication to the Riverdale Heights Volunteer Fire Department and its members. The respect and admiration that the volunteers had for him was genuine, because not only was he the CHIEF he was also our friend who always had time to help us and give us guidance. THE CHIEF was a well respected and admired gentleman. This respect and admiration did not end at RHVFD but was evident through out volunteer fire departments in Prince Georges County and also shown in every aspect of his life. THE CHIEF was a father figure to so many volunteers and a true friend to us all. Even though Pat Odea and I were tied for suspendee of the year, for five years in a row, I realize that helped make me the man I am today. I could write a book about how much I loved and admired THE CHIEF. I will miss his laughter, strength, guidance and most of all his friendship and our spontaneous chats over the many years of our friendship. The world is a much sadder place with out him, but heaven is a happier place with him. With much love and prayers, Gary Firmani
