Guy Freeman Moulton

Portland- Guy F. Moulton, 66 passed away peacefully at his home on June 9, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Guy was born in Portland on October 14, 1951, the son of Carl and Ethel (Ferguson) Moulton. Guy attended Portland schools, graduating from Portland High School in 1969. After high school Guy enlisted in the Air Force. After his time in the service, Guy returned home and earned his associates degree in business from Andover College and married his loving wife Pamela (Shepard) Moulton on June 5, 1976.

Guy was employed at Hannaford Brothers for 34 years. Once he retired he enjoyed spending time and spoiling his grandchildren. Guy also loved woodworking. He would spend countless hours in his shop making dollhouses, tables, bureaus, and desks. You name it; he’d attempt to make it!

Guy was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Ethel Moulton as well as two brothers Thomas and Melvin Moulton.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Pamela Moulton. Two sisters; Sharon Stewart and her husband James of Portland and Susan Kenney of South Portland, a brother Albert Sawyer and his wife Betty of Texas. Guy also leaves behind his children, two daughters Melissa Tapley and her fiancé Jeff Greer of Portland; Michelle Breton and her husband Stephen of Portland; and his son Matthew Moulton and his wife Amber of Windham. Guy will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: Brandon, Abby, Madison, McKenzie and Emily as well as several nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to extend thanks to the caregivers and nurses through the VNA, Home Health and Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to him and his family.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 11 am with a funeral service to follow at 1 pm at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home in Portland.
