Edward Comora passed away in Portland, Maine on January 3, 2023 after a brief struggle with cancer.
Ed was born in 1946 in Newburyport, MA to Pauline Miszkiel and Stanley Comora. He graduated from the Immaculate Conception High School in 1964 and went on to study Electrical Engineering at Merrimack College. Ed worked at Lucent Technologies in North Andover, MA. for 22 years.
Earlier in his life, Ed was an avid fisherman and loved casting for stripers at the mouth of the Merrimack and spending time with his family at Newfound Lake in New Hampshire. Ed knew a good steak when he saw one, never said no to some good New England seafood, and looked forward to watching the Army/Navy football game every year.
Ed is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jean (Sarantakos); son, Christopher; daughter-in-law, Cassie (Seithel); granddaughter, Elena; brothers, Bob, and Mike; and a niece and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother, John; and beloved Golden Retriever, Digger.
Friends and family of Ed are invited to visit his family from 10:00 AM to 12:00PM on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Avenue in Portland, with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 PM
