Diana Gibbons Obituary

BRUNSWICK - Diana Gibbons, 56, Brunswick, died unexpectedly December 16, 2019.

She is predeceased by her parents Rev. John S. Bennett and Dorrie E. (Talbert) Bennett, also by her brother Mark Bennett.

Survived by daughters Rachel Slater, Crystal Gibbons, and Rebekah Babcock; grandchildren Jayden Dami, Jasmine Brown, Jaxon Barron, Joseph Slater, Hunter Babcock, Dezaray Babcock, Andrew Babcock; sister's Lynette Dodson, Barbara Bennett; brother Steven Bennett; along with several nieces and nephews. "Di" will be greatly missed.

She spent most of her life in central Maine and volunteered as a firefighter/EMT serving as the EMS Chief for the Etna Fire Department for several years. During that time she helped preserve and save lives as well as inspire others to follow in her steps to become EMTs as well. Di had a passion for helping others, never turning away a friend or stranger and giving all she had to someone in need, but never wanting anyone to make a fuss over her.

She always said she did not want a formal funeral service. Anyone wishing to honor her life please consider donating blood to the American Red Cross or to a local charity in her name.
