My name is Debbie Emmons. My family and I lived across the street from Carole and her family for many years on Tucker Ave. Reading of her passing saddens us all. She and her family were close to many of us for so many years. I remember taking care of Elizabeth, Caroles daughter when she was a toddler. Tommy and Elizabeth we from the Emmons family share many thoughts and prayers during this time. You all were like family to us when we lived on Tucker Ave. Many good thoughts during our childhood. I speak for our family and hope you are all well.

Carole and my mom Candy were best friends at Gorham State. Mom spoke of the lively times the two of them had. I have fond memories of visiting Carole at her house on Tucker Avenue. What struck me most about their friendship was that regardless of the time that passed between phone calls and visits, they picked up where they left off. If that doesn't define true friendship, nothing does.

When mom passed away last year, Carole's card of well wishes was the last one that she was able to read, arriving that very day. The significance of that and their friendship isn't lost on me.

I wish Carole eternal peace and happiness. She is truly deserving of it. I hope her family can find comfort at this difficult time. The memories will never fade of such a vibrant person and the kindness and friendship he showed throughout her life.

I met Carol in 1951 when we started kindergarten at Reed School. We lived in the same neighborhood and were friends for life. Carol was many things but shy and quiet were not among them. She always spoke her mind and though we often disagreed we could always laugh together. I will miss her, she was one of a kind. Condolences to her family.
