Carole and my mom Candy were best friends at Gorham State. Mom spoke of the lively times the two of them had. I have fond memories of visiting Carole at her house on Tucker Avenue. What struck me most about their friendship was that regardless of the time that passed between phone calls and visits, they picked up where they left off. If that doesn't define true friendship, nothing does.
When mom passed away last year, Carole's card of well wishes was the last one that she was able to read, arriving that very day. The significance of that and their friendship isn't lost on me.
I wish Carole eternal peace and happiness. She is truly deserving of it. I hope her family can find comfort at this difficult time. The memories will never fade of such a vibrant person and the kindness and friendship he showed throughout her life.
