Carol Ann Conger
1935-2020
GORHAM – Carol Ann (Rhebb) Conger passed away peacefully on Friday December 18, 2020.
Carol was born in Sioux City, Iowa. She attended public schools, including graduation from East High School. She was married to Gerald V (Jerry) Conger from 1957-1980.
She worked for the phone company in Sioux City prior to her marriage and assisted in the operation of the family business in Modesto CA with her husband for ten years. She moved on having a successful career working for Gallo Glass, up to her retirement.
Carol relocated to Maine in 2011 and loved gardening, working on puzzles, and enjoyed her soap operas. She was always ready and willing to help her friends in times of need.
She was predeceased by her parents, Wayne & Mary Rhebb, sister, Joan Noble; brother, Keith Rhebb.
She is survived by her son, Brian Conger and daughter-in-law Veronica, son Keith Conger and daughter-in-law Kristy. Grandchildren, Spencer Conger, Jordan Conger, and his spouse Erika; Keri Conger and Kevin Conger. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Janice Haugen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a long-time resident of the Inn at Village Square in Gorham
and leaves behind many friends and memories. The family would like to thank the staff at the Inn for their loving care during her time at the facility. In addition, a thank-you to the staff at Mercy Hospital for their care during her final days of life.
