Bette was a shining star at Redbank elementary. I worked there as a music teacher for many years (80's to 2000's) and always LOVED seeing Bette. As I watched her gently assist the children, I knew they would always be successful with her help. Always with a smile and a glint in her eye, she was a friend to all of the teachers. I am sure she held the secrets of many as they confided in her. I am so very sorry that she suffered Alzheimer's disease later in her short life. It is such a "robbing" disease and especially painful for the family. She is no longer in pain. In heaven she is watching the Red Sox rout the Yankees over, and over, and over again. May you all have wonderful memories of her glorious day. May peace be with you.
