Wilbur H. Rickett August 31, 1923 April 9, 2015 Westbrook Wilbur H. Rickett, 91, of Westbrook died on April 9, 2015 at the Maine Veteran's Home in Scarborough. He was born in Portland, ME on August 31, 1923 the son of the late Charles and Mabel (Harrison) Rickett. Following his education, he enlisted into the U.S. Army and served his country for two years during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, he was employed by B & M Beans for more than 46 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. in Portland, past commander of the Falmouth American Legion and an avid reader and Red Sox fan. He shared 39 years with his former wife, Maxine (Passmore) Rickett who died in 1981. He leaves behind 7 children, Sharon and husband, David, Lois and husband, Henry, Dennis and companion, Carol, Richard and wife, Carol, David and wife, Kelly, Terry and wife, Lynn and Lucinda and husband, Paul and 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his companion, Mary Poitras and her family, with special thanks to Raelene and Tobey. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough for their care and compassion to Wilbur during his time there. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit with the family at A.T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 4-7P.M. Graveside services with military honors will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11A.M. at the Brooklawn Memorial Park, Congress Street, Portland.
