Wayne F. Theriault, Sr. March 13, 1947 May 28, 2013 Portland - Wayne F. Theriault, Sr., 66 of Windam, ME died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Maine Medical Center. Born March 13, 1947 in Winterport, ME, Wayne was the son of Bernard "Bud" Theriault and Mina S. Theriault. He graduated from Portland High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1964 serving in Swift Boat Operations in Vietnam. After his enlistment, Wayne worked as a crane operator, professional truck driver with Hannaford Brothers and as Service Manager for Krisway Truck Leasing in Portland retiring in 2012. Loved and admired by so many, Wayne was avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and motorcycling. Other hobbies included restoring antique automobiles, carpentry to include building his own home, flying having earned a private pilot's license, and repairing all those man toys he often crashed. He is predeceased by his parents, sister Gloria, brothers Lionel and Bernard, and Brother-in-Law Grafton Deredin. Surviving are his pride and joy to include the love of his life Barbara (Laing), Daughters Kim Gardner, Billie Jo Tardiff and her husband Kevin, son Wayne, Jr. and wife Carolann, grandchildren Kevin, Kai, Tony, and Jenna, sisters Leola Deriden of Sandy Point and Marylou Proctor of Dover, DE and his nephew, John "J.B." Theriault. Visting hours will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 5 - 8 pm at A.T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave, Portland. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Noon at Saint Peter's Catholic Church, 72 Federal St., Portland.
