Wayne F. Briggs August 17, 1922 September 28, 2013 Scarborough- Wayne F. Briggs passed away on September 28, 2013 peacefully at his home. He was born in Sanford, Maine on August 17, 1922. He attended Sanford High School and played for the Sanford Redskins High School Football team. After High School he enlisted in the USNR and was an Ariel photographer in WWII. On June 6, 1946 he married Priscilla Tozier and they were married for 66 years. Wayne and Priscilla had two children, Gary and Penny, and four Grandchildren Tyler, Leah, Nathan and Haley. Wayne graduated from USM, Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree. He was the Director of Business Services for the USM System for 22 years. Wayne loved spending time watching football on TV and attending the Thursday Night Boxing at the Portland EXPO in the late 60's and 70's. He loved flying and held his solo pilots license. He was a member of the Gorham Kiwanis Club, Masons, Shriner and a life time member of the WWII Memorial Society. There will be a private family service and Wayne is missed by all that knew him.
