Wallace H. "Wally" Carey August 28, 1937 May 15, 2015 Westbrook - Wallace H. ""Wally"" Carey, 77, of Westbrook passed away at home on May 15, 2015. He was born in Portland on August 28, 1937, a son of William and Carrie (Bouthelette) Carey. He grew up in Portland and attended Portland Schools. Wally worked first at DiMillo's and later Calderwood's Bakery before spending 27 years working for J.J. Nissen Bakery. He and his wife of 53 years, Belva (McDonald) together raised their seven children. Wally was an avid Red Sox fan and always enjoyed playing Bingo. Wally was pre-deceased by his parents and his sisters; Beverly Morin, Edna Dexter, and Alice Wharton. In addition to his wife Belva, he is survived by his children; Wally Carey and his wife Kim of Westbrook, Kevin Carey, Carol Carey, Lisa McDonough, and Fredrick Carey, Sr., all of Westbrook, Allison Carey of Portland, and Linda Conley and her husband Dale of Westbrook, as well as 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers; Richard Carey of Farmington, NH, William Carey, Bobby Goodale, and David Bouthelette, all of Portland and his sister Grace Page of Farmington, NH. Friends and family are invited to visiting hours from 10am - 12 pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral & Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave, Portland.
