Wallace D. Brume November 29, 1935 August 17, 2016 Portland- Wallace Dyson Brume Jr 80, died Wednesday August 17,2016 after a sudden illness. He was born on November 29,1935 to the late Wallace Dyson Brume Sr and Mary Marjorie Peterson Brume. Wally was educated in the Portland schools. He worked for Thomas P. Beals furniture, Sportsman's Grill, D.K.Oil Co, and Harmon's and Barton's Florist. He also volunteered at Bingo Time sponsored by. Portland Boxing club. Wally was a very loving and caring man who was totally devoted to his family. Always putting other's needs before his own. He was an avid Red Sox fan, New England Patriots fan. Wally also enjoyed his many friends at South Portland Bingo Hall. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Ethel May. He is survived by his loving wife Ann W Brume of 51 years from Portland. In addition to his wife he is survived by daughters Betsy A. Larrabee of Portland, Susan L Brume of Portland, Alice DiBiase and Pamela Brume. A Sister Marilyn McVane of North Carolina, A Brother Paul and wife Marge Schmuckal of Windham. Sister in law Nancy Sika and husband James, Sister in law Melinda Parker, Brother in law John Sterling and wife Debra. Brother in law Bruce Sterling. Grandchildren Matthew DiBiase and wife Cynthia, Mary-Ellen Darling and husband Joseph, Nicholas DiBiase, Randy and Richard Thurston. Great-Grandchildren Madison Darling and Riley Darling. And many nieces and nephew. The family wishes to thank the staff of Shift 1 of the Portland Fire Department, Maine Medical Center Emergency department, Staff of CICU, Staff of CTICU, Nick RN, Ryan RN and especially Diana RN for displaying such compassionate care. Also Dr. Robaczewski and team, Dr. Dietz and team, Dr. Eddy. A visiting hour will be held from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm on Tuesday August 23,2016 A. T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland, where a memorial service will be held at 12:30pm. Burial to follow at Brooklawn Cemetery Portland.
