Vicky Levon Jones

Vicky Levon Jones, 53, passed away on March 10, 2022. She was a fraternal twin, born on December 29, 1968 to Arlene James and William Smallwood in Kinston, North Carolina. She attended Jones County Schools in Trenton, North Carolina, including Jones Senior High School was she was a top basketball player and MVP for many years. Several years into her adulthood, she relocated to Portland, Maine where she resided for many years before moving to Gorham, Maine. For most of her adult life, she was a Direct Support Provider at several adult care agencies, including Port Resources. Vicky was a very loving and loveable person. Her laugh was infectious and her beautiful smile would light up an entire room. She enjoyed hiking, canoeing, gardening, sailing and almost anything else that one could do outdoors, especially playing basketball. Most of all: she enjoyed spending time with her 3 children whom will love, cherish, adore and miss her most dearly. She was preceded in death by grandmother, LaEula Jones of Trenton, North Carolina; father, William Smallwood of Dover, North Carolina; step-father, Donnie James of Trenton, North Carolina; her first grandson, Geovonnti Stanley Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; and niece Jadha Murphy of Trenton, North Carolina. She is survived by her mother, Arlene James of Trenton, North Carolina; daughter Jalisa Stanley (Geovonnti Stanley) of Atlanta, Georgia; son Tremayne Jones of Lewiston, Maine; daughter Brittany Jones of Portland, Maine; twin brother, Ricky Jones of New Bern, North Carolina; brother Craig Jones (Trina Jones) of Eden, North Carolina; sister Shernon Cox of Pollocksville, North Carolina; Aunt Dorothy Brown of Trenton, North Carolina ; 4 grandchildren and a host of many, many more nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends.
