Vernon G. Howell February 14, 1934 April 27, 2012 Falmouth- Vernon G. Howell, 78, of Middle Road, passed away on April 27, 2012 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. He was born in Portland, a son of Thomas G. and Jennie K. (Beaumont) Howell. He graduated from Falmouth High School and attended New Brunswick Bible Institute. He worked at First Baptist of Portland, Cheverus High School and most recently at St. Joseph's Manor in Portland. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Portland and Loud's Island Community Church. He attended various missions trips to Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Cambodia where he helped build churches. He served as chairman of FBC Missions Commission. He loved to read and going to Loud's Island. He was predeceased by a brother, Elton Howell; sisters, Fern Nee and her husband Mike; Faye Hedegard and husband Howard and Natalie Howell. He is survived by his wife of 53 yrs, Barbara Howell; daughter, Jennifer Printy and husband, Craig; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Nicole; brother, Dale Howell and wife, Eleanor; Sister-in-law, Mildred Howell; as well as many loved nieces and nephews. A visiting hour will be held from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at First Baptist Church, 360 Canco Rd. Portland, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland will be held at a later date.
