Tyler Curtis Cole January 9, 1985 May 14, 2012 PORTLAND - Tyler Curtis Cole, 27, of Portland passed away unexpectedly on May 14, 2012. Tyler was born in Portland on January 9, 1985. He attended local schools, graduating from Portland High School in 2004. Culinary Arts was always a passion of Tyler's that lead to his career as a talented Chef and Sous Chef in Portland. He was recognized and saluted for his signature Crispy Duck Confit while at the Front Room. Aside from being in the kitchen, Tyler enjoyed fishing with friends, boating on Casco Bay, playing baseball, and was always an avid fan of the Boston Celtics. He also took great pride in his Irish heritage. Above all, family was what mattered most to him. Tyler always looked forward to Maloney family reunions and spending summers in Southport with his grandparents, Stan and Debbie Cole. The proudest moment in his life was the birth of his son Benjamin Curtis Cole. He was the happiest with his son, cherishing every moment they had together. Tyler is survived by his parents Jeffrey and Kathleen Cole, his sister Kalie Lunt and her husband Matthew, his son Benjamin Cole, and Katrina McCormick. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who all loved him for his outgoing personality. He will always be remembered for his firm handshake and his heart of gold. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 3 - 7pm at A.T. Hutchins, LLC Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave, Portland. An additional period of visitation will be held from 9 - 10am on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the funeral home with prayers at 10am, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
