Thomas Walter Traynor, III "Tommy T" March 16, 1955 April 1, 2015 South Portland - Thomas Walter Traynor, III, 60, known by his friends as ""Tommy T, ""of South Portland passed away at the Maine Medical Center on April 1, 2015. He was born in Portland on March 16, 1955, a son of Thomas and Ruth (Brown) Traynor, Jr. Tom grew up in South Portland, attending South Portland Schools. At the age of 17, Tom enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1972 to 1975. He then joined the Army National Guard for a twenty year career, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He also spent time working for BIW. Tom lived an active and social life. Anything that involved spending time with friends and family, Tom loved to do it. Whether it was hunting, playing pool, spending time around a campfire, playing horseshoes or going out to sing karaoke, he was up for it. He also loved music, especially playing the guitar. Tom was predeceased by his parents, his brother Michael Traynor and his sister Debbie Traynor. He is survived by his brothers; Timmy Traynor and his wife Kathy, and Ricky Traynor, as well as several nieces, nephews and good friends. Tommy was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all his family and friends. The family would like to thank everyone who has offered their love and support for Tommy.
