Portland - Thomas J. Caulfield, 87, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, June 25 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born April 29, 1933 in Portland, Maine a son of Edward and Annie Katherine (Coyne) Caulfield.  He attended local schools and Gray's Business College. Tom joined the Army in 1953 and was stationed in Germany for three years.  Upon returning home in 1956, he worked for the First National Warehouse for 17 years.  From there, he went on to work in the trades, retiring from the Bricklayers Local 2, Plumbers & Pipefitters out of New Hampshire & the Longshoreman's Union. After retirement, Tom worked for Eddie Griffin, the Portland Press Herald and the Portland Eagles. Tom loved spending time with his family and taking trips through New England and Florida with his wife.  He had many wonderful memories of family gatherings and holidays.  He was also an avid sports fan. He was a very happy and gentle man. Tom married Priscilla Breggia on June 4, 1976 and they were happily married for 44 years. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Philip and Peter. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Priscilla; his son, Edward of Westbrook; his daughter, Michelle Orne of Portland; his grandson, Michael; and his brother, Edward of Florida.  He also leaves behind many cousins and relatives in Portland, Boston and Ireland. A private family service will be held.
