Teresita L. Legaspi PORTLAND -- Teresita L. Legaspi (Tess), 84, died peacefully on July 30th, 2025, in her loving home. She was born in Cavite City, Philippines, on March 4th, 1941, the daughter of Silverio and Leonora (Galoy) Lim. She married her first love, Bay, in the Philippines in 1963. Tess and Bay started their family and then immigrated to the U.S. all together in 1982. She worked at the Holiday Inn in Portland for 10 years before retiring to be what she truly loved and was proud to be- a grandmother. When Teresita (Tess) wasn't dancing or playing cards at the current social event- you could find her cooking her most famous Filipino dishes, crocheting and bowling. She was always up for a casino trip. Family meant everything to her; her grandchildren were her pride and joy- showing them off to friends every chance she got. She was such a warm, inviting light and she will be dearly missed forever in our hearts. She was predeceased by her parents; love of her life, Bay.; and many special in-laws.; She is survived by her children, Rolando Legaspi (Oya) of Portland, Felix Legaspi Jr. of Portland, Terry Legaspi of Portland, Lucy Legaspi of Portland, and Ardy Legaspi (Aneth) of Portland; Grandchildren, Bekah (Mikey), Gabriela (Justin), AJ (Shae), Rachelle (Thach) and Raymart (Shaya); great grandchildren, Nicko, Kaylah, Aneesa, Ava, Nevaeh, and Mila. Siblings , Isabel of Cavite, Phillipines and many nieces and nephews. She loved her "grandpups"- Dabi, Buchoy, Puppy, Love and Bruno. Visitation will be held on Sunday August 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at A. T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland, ME. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday August 4, 2025, at the funeral home. Burials will follow at Brooklawn Memorial Park.
