Suzanne B. Crockett, 85, of Gorham Maine, passed away on May 23, 2025, after a very long and declining illness. She resided at the Grande of South Portland Assisted Living Facility in South Portland, Maine. We wish to give very special thanks to the Memory Care Staff as well as Compassus Hospice Care for all the kindness and compassion they gave to Sue . Sue was born on June 3, 1939, in Rockland Maine. She graduated from Rockland High School and went on to nursing school in Portland Maine. She attended her residency at Maine Medical Center. She worked as a registered nurse at Osteopathic Hospital for many years. During her residency at Maine Medical Center, she met Charles H. Crockett. They married on September 10, 1960. In 1962, they purchased a farm in Gorham, Maine and named it Misty Hill Farm. In this home, they raised their two beautiful daughters, Cyndi and Beth. Sue soon began her lifelong dream of raising horses for pleasure riding and showing. Sue made many friends who shared her love of horses. The Misty Hill Farm was never without numerous dogs, cats, sheep, pigs, chickens and of course, her Morgan horses, which kept her quite busy over the years. Sue enjoyed trail riding, boating with her husband Charles, and attending dog school with her Cavelier's at Saccarappa Dog Club in which she was once a member. Sue is predeceased by her parents, Elzada and Walter Barstow, her loving daughter, Cyndi Crockett, and her beloved husband of 61 years, Charles Crockett. She is survived by her loving daughter Beth Crockett of Pearland, Texas; her brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Caroline Barstow of Cypress, Texas; Charles and Carol Barstow of Dover, New Hampshire; and Walter II and Brenda Barstow of Rochester, New Hampshire.
