Obituary

Sterling Winthrop Parker "Butch" November 8, 1946 January 21, 2013 Sterling ""Butch"" Winthrop Parker, 66, passed away on Jan. 21 at Maine Medical Center. Born in Portland on Nov. 8, 1946, he is a son of Winthrop and Edna (Pendexter) Parker. He graduated in 1965 from Deering High and later attended CMCC. Following college, he enlisted in the Army until 1972. In the mid 70's he was on the pit crew for the Libby Brothers at Beech Ridge. He was a Draftsman for Douglas Brothers, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was an active member of the Portland Eagles Casco Aerie #565 and the Portland Elks Lodge #188. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his parents. Sterling is survived by his daughter Linda of Arizona; Three sisters, Elaine, Dottie, and Glenna and three grandchildren, Carrie, Emery, and Jordan. Spring burial will be in Maine Veteran's Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of A.T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave. Portland.
