Scott Donald Mairs, of Portland, Maine and formerly of New Hope Pennsylvania, died on July 25, 2018, surrounded by his family after a three year battle with cancer. Scott grew up in New Hope and graduated from New Hope High School. Described as a kind and gentle man, Scott worked a variety of jobs in New Hope, North Carolina, and New York State. Scott is survived by his parents, Don and Linda Mairs of Portland, Maine, his sister, Kree Woolley and her husband Jeff Woolley of Plymouth, New Hampshire, brother Philip of Campton, New Hampshire, nephew, Benjamin Woolley and niece, Joy Woolley. Donation in Scott's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Scarborough, Maine, or the charity of your choice.
