Sandra (Smith) Valladares December 4, 1940 March 21, 2012 Portland - Sandra (Smith) Valladares, 71, of Portland, passed away suddenly, after previously beating cancer, on March 21, 2012. She was born in Portland on December 4, 1940, the daughter of Ole and Anastasia Christiensen. She attended Portland Schools, including Portland High School. Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She was known by everyone as ""Ma"", and as ""G.G."" to her great-grandchildren. She worked at different jobs, but her real career was as a homemaker and mother, raising her three children. Her true love was her family. Sandra was predeceased by her parents and her long-time companion Russell Jordan. She is survived by her sister Sonja Dahlin of Portland; her children, Michelle Wildes and her husband Mark of Sanford, Michael Smith and his fiancé Elizabeth of Standish and Kathleen McDonald and her husband John of Windham; her eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and her niece, Margaret Dahlin. She is also survived by her ex-husband and life-long friend, Russell Smith and his companion, Marlaine. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life will be held at the Westbrook Eagles Club, 89 Saco St. Westbrook on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 12 to 4pm. Arrangements are by A.T.
