Obituary

Ronald Ralph Kimball, 82, of Falmouth, passed away peacefully in his home on April 6th, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born in Portland September 22nd, 1943, and spent most of his life working the railroad before driving tractor trailers for UPS for 30 years.

Ronald had a deep love for motorcycles and spent much of his free time either riding alongside his wife, Eleanor, or working on bikes. He enjoyed attending car shows, training his dogs, and most importantly raising his children and grandchildren.

He was happily married to his wife, Eleanor Kimball, for 57 years. Together they had one son, Ronald Scott Kimball. They raised their children in their family home, where they later raised their two granddaughters for over 20 years. Ronald was a quiet man who valued his peace, but his presence was strong and steady.

He was a loyal member and former President of the Mid Maine Lewiston HOG Chapter for 3 years and was also a member of Southern Maine Portland HOG Chapter. Ronald was known as everyone's “walking road map”, he could tell you how to cross the country without a GPS, and he was never wrong.

He cared deeply for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, always making sure they had the guidance they needed to succeed in life. Ronald was a hardworking man whose knowledge left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His favorite evenings were spent watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and more often than not, he knew all the answers. Ronald had sharp wit and loved cracking jokes that could fill a room with laughter. He always put his family first, doing whatever it took to make sure their lives were peaceful and full of memories. He traveled across the United States with his wife and close friends, stories he loved to share.

He is survived by his wife Eleanor Kimball; his sons Scott Kimball and Ronald Scott Kimball, daughters Kelly Roy, Doris Doherty, and Libby Kimball; his grandsons Dustin Fogg, Sean Roy, TJ Doherty, Chris Doherty, Ethan Caporino, Noah and Evan Chasson and Jaydin Whittier; his granddaughters Heather Roy, Callie Kimball and Kelsie Beaumier; and his great grandchildren Rylee Rowe, Benjamin and Theo Doherty. He is preceded in death by his daughter Sherry Wellines; His aunt Mildred Hawkins; His parents Bernice and Ralph Kimball.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
