Rocky P. Yargeau April 18, 1948 October 8, 2012 Portland- Rocky P. Yargeau, 64, of East Lancaster Street, passed away on October 8, 2012 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. He was born in Canada, a son of Marcel J. and Flore M. (Baron) Yargeau. Rocky attended Portland schools. He worked at the Portland Stove Foundry and was self-employed as a mechanic. He was an active member of the Portland AMVETS, Post #25, for many years, where he enjoyed spending time with his many friends and family. He raced at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway where he drove car #65. He loved to hunt and work on cars. He was pre-deceased by his parents; a sister, Louise Ratte; brothers, Jacques and Donald Yargeau. He is survived by a sister, Carol Allain; brothers, Luke Yargeau, Eddy Yargeau; loving children, Peter, Laurie, Melissa, Amanda and Alicia; step-children, Susan and Karen; very special grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice of Southern Maine. A memorial service will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral & Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave. Portland. A private burial will be held at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
