Robert Lloyd Simpson May 16, 1930 December 1, 2015 Robert ""Bob"" Lloyd Simpson, devoted husband, father and son, passed away peacefully at Maine Medical Center on December 1, 2015 with family by his side. He was 85. Bob was born in Portsmouth, NH on May 16, 1930 to Cedric and Florence Simpson. He attended Deering High School in Portland, ME and the University of New Hampshire before serving as a first lieutenant in the Army in the Korean War. ~Bob enjoyed a long career as a pharmaceutical representative with McKesson & Robbins and was a member of The Elks. He spent the majority of retirement in Arizona and Florida before moving back home to Maine in 2014. Bob will always be remembered for his love of family and sports. He enjoyed playing football, baseball, and basketball at Deering and was a co-founder of Little Lad Football. ~He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn ""Weezy"" Simpson along with four children; Kerry and Shelly Simpson of Falmouth, Roger and Jeri Lamoureux of Phoenix, Arizona, Doug and Alison Filbert and Paul and Susan Simpson of Milton, Florida, two step-children; Lynda and Phil Kalloch of Gorham, and Leigh Lowry of Chandler, Arizona, three siblings; Marilyn Hight, Diane Perry and Michael Simpson. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and their spouses, and five great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Dow Simpson, his brother Jerry, and his parents. ~His warm caring spirit will live forever in the hearts of all those he has touched. ~Visiting hours will occur on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland, ME 04102. The family would like to thank the medical staff for the compassionate care he received at Maine Medical Center, SCU.
