Robert Harmon Adams, Jr. October 3, 1953 July 5, 2016 Robert Harmon Adams, Jr., age 62 died peacefully at his home Tuesday, July 5, 2016 surrounded by his beloved family, his dog Brutus, and his cat Midnight. He was born on October 3, 1953 in Portland, Maine. Son of Robert Harmon Adams, Sr. and Rose Ella Davis. He graduated from South Portland High School in 1971. Robert met the love of his life Camilla DiCenso at the age of 12 and began dating her at age 14. They had an inseparable bond and were married in February of 1972. They had two wonderful and beautiful daughters that he loved dearly with all his heart. Bob was a man of many talents, most recently an electrician at BIW for over 35 years. He was a fun loving guy and kept everybody laughing. He could lighten the mood in any situation. He was always available for a good time and loved to laugh. He would lend a hand to anybody in need, strangers and friends alike. A non-Italian food eater when he met Camilla, he was easily converted once he ate her sauce and meatballs. He loved his Wednesday night cribbage and music with his daughters. He enjoyed taking Camilla to Salty Bay and loved spending time with his family and friends. The light of his life was his grandson Jayden. He was Robert's little man ""Jay Bird"" who made him happy every day. A lot of Robert's joke telling and trick playing has been passed on to Jayden who loves to play tricks on his Nonna(Camilla). Robert was predeceased by his parents Rose E. Ross and Robert Harmon Adams, Sr.; sister Kathy Yates; several nieces and nephews. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Camilla Anne Adams; His loving daughters Jennifer (Harry) Rogers, Angelina Adams and her fiancée Robert Lilly, and their son Jayden Conrad Lilly the light of Robert's life. His sisters Jean (Norm) Albert, Karen (John) Ottum, Jackie Megquire and his brother and best friend James Mulkern. His sister in law Florence (Jon) Bickford, Claudia (Bertrand) Oullette, Dianne (Dan) Tardy, his brother in laws David (Alice) DiCenso, Vito DiCenso, Paul DiCenso many beloved nieces and nephews. An hour of visitation will be held on Tuesday July 12, 2016 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at A.T. Hutchins, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland, followed by a memorial service at 12:30 pm. Following the memorial service, Robert's life will continue to be celebrated at St. Peter's Church Hall, 72 Federal St., Portland. Please dress casual and wear your favorite hat in honor of Robert.
