Rita A. (Miville) Gott April 7, 1926 November 12, 2012 South Portland - Rita A. (Miville) Gott, 86 died on November 12, 2012, at a Falmouth health care center. She was born on April 7, 1926, in Augusta, the daughter of Yvon and Marie-Anne (Grosset) Miville. Rita was known to many of the residents of South Portland as ""Auntie Rite."" She spent her entire married life as a resident of South Portland, working as a crossing guide for the school and was one of the oldest paper carriers for the Portland Press Herald. Her house on Walnut Street in South Portland was always one of the first and most decorated at Christmas time. She was predeceased by her husband, George J. Gott, Jr.; and her brothers, Philip and Gerald. She is survived by her brother Yvon; her sisters, Hilda, Yvonne, Irene and Hazel; her daughter Terry Caroul and her husband Jaques of St.Augustine, Fla., her son Roberft Gott and his wife Theresa of Hampden, her son George J. Gott, III of Biddeford; and by her grandchildren, Mark Caroul, Paul Caroul, Jean Jaques Caroul, Daniel Gott, Shawn Gott, Kate Gott, and Kelly Gott; and 11 great-grandchildren. At Rita's request there will be no memorial service.
