Richmond L. Fiske January 11, 1928 December 31, 2013 Scarborough - Richmond L. Fiske, 85, formerly of Portland, passed away on December 31, 2013 at the Maine Veterans' Home in Scarborough. He was born on January 11, 1928 in Gardiner, one of seven children of LeRoy H. and Hazel (Merrill) Fiske. Richmond grew up in Portland and attended Deering High School before leaving early to enlist in the United States Navy. After serving in the Navy, he enlisted and served in the Army National Guard. Richmond was proud of his service to his country. He worked for many years for Merchants Reporting Service before retiring in 2006. Richmond was a special person and his sense of humor will surely be missed. Richmond was predeceased by his parents, his sisters, Elizabeth F. Roney, Constance M. Rollins and Janet M. Marcy and his brothers, John H. Fiske and Merrill M. Fiske. He is survived by his sister, Sally F. Hamilton, his sister-in-law, Dorothy Fiske as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Services for Richmond will be private. Burial will be in the spring at the German Protestant Cemetery in Waldoboro.
