Westbrook- Richard A. "Rick" Petersen of Westbrook, Maine passed away on Saturday September 7, 2024 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born in Portland, Maine on July 24, 1962 a son of Marvin R. and Judith A. (Gaudete) Petersen. Rick lived most of his life in Westbrook and attended schools there. After high school he joined the Army in 1981, and served util 1987, stationed in Germany. After returning from the Army he held several jobs, his last job was driving truck for Grover Construction In Yarmouth, having to stop working due to his cancer diagnosis. Rick enjoyed deer hunting & four wheeling with his brother. He was predeceased by his parents, his paternal grandparents Catherine & Walter Petersen and Maternal Grandmother Catherine Gaudette. Rick is survived by his daughter Jennifer Petersen Michaud & husband Walter, three Grandchildren Tayler Libby, Madison Michaud, and Cameron Michaud of Buxton; Three Brothers William Scott Petersen & wife Therese of Standish, Michael Grant of Saco & Edward Grant of South [Portland; Stepmother Dorothy Petersen & Husband Gerry (Uncle and stepfather) of Scarborough and Ricks Ex-Wife Gail Petersen of Westbrook. Visiting hours will be held 10:00Am -11:30 Am Friday September 20, 2024 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Avenue. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Woodlawn cemetery in Westbrook..
