Paul S. DePalmer March 22, 1943 June 19, 2014 -Portland Paul S. DePalmer, 71, of Portland passed away at his home on June 19, 2014 after a battle with cancer. Paul was born in Portland March 22, 1943 to the late Samuel and Yolanda (Pio) DePalmer. Paul attended Portland Schools. In 1963 he married Joyce (Bunker) DePalmer and enjoyed 49 years together before her passing in 2012. He and Joyce would have five children raising them in Portland. Paul founded and operated for over 50 years Paul's Services Inc.; selling and servicing cars and delivering oil. When he was not working he enjoyed entertaining friends and family at the summer home on Cranberry Island, he especially enjoyed cooking lobster he caught as a recreational lobsterman. Paul is survived by his son Anthony and his wife Gayle DePalmer of Raymond, his daughter Angela DePalmer and her husband Gene Rancourt of Windham, his son Timothy DePalmer of Portland, his daughter Christine DePalmer of Portland, his son Samuel DePalmer of Standish, his five grandchildren Nicholas, Kevin, Michael, Chelsea, and Paul, his sister Mary Ann Sanders of Portland, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visiting hours from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday June 23, 2014 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home 660 Brighton Ave. Portland, ME 04102. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 24, 2014 at 11:00 am at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home with interment at Calvary Cemetery to follow.
