Patricia J. Rozzi April 23, 1927 April 27, 2014 Patricia J. (Cushing) Rozzi, 87, of Windham, ME and Marco Island, FL passed away on Sunday April 27, 2014 at Maine Medical Center after a brief illness. Pat was not one to complain and was grateful for everyone that helped her. She wanted to thank all the wonderful nurses, caregivers, attendants, doctors, and family throughout her long journey into a pain free heaven. All the staff at Maine Medical Center, Mercy Hospital, Springbrook Center, Seaside Healthcare, Windham MEDCU, and the Hutchins family all treated her with compassion and care. She touched many who met and cared for her. She was born in Hartford, CT on April 23, 1927 the daughter of Melvin Cushing and Alice (Stanton) Cushing. She attended Portland High School and worked at Shaws during her youth. Her beloved sister Jean and brother Donny were inseparable on Munjoy Hill. They were all close and a fun loving bunch. As she got older they would attend local dances and that is where she met her future husband Freddy, they were married September 11, 1950 and started their life together. They had three sons and one daughter; Dominic and wife Sue of Windham, Lorenzo of Windham, Sharon of Windham, and Fred Jr. and his wife Marguerite of Portland. Patricia also was involved in Fred's many enterprises and worked along side him; Freddy's Meat Market, Rozzi's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, The Old Fire Barn Steakhouse, and The Square Peg Restaurant and Lounge just to name a few. She did all this while raising a family, being a mother and homemaker. As they grew older they found Marco Island, FL and spent time with family and friends in the Florida sun. Patricia was the ""go to"" person for advice and words of wisdom. She had tremendous love and affection for her sister in-laws and brother in-laws and all her cousins, nieces, and nephews. She loved flowers, plants, and gardening and helped her friend and neighbor Sue Baillargeon in the ""Weede Shop"" if needed. She loved the blue skies and sunshine of a summer day or was content to sit in front of a wood stove during a snowstorm watching her favorite soaps, New England sports teams, or police dramas. ""Windham Nana"" as she was known by the younger generation was an excellent cook, mentor, sister, and wife, she was known for her deserts especially ricotta pie. She loved a birthday party and welcomed all her children and grandchildren; Dominic Rozzi, Vincent Rozzi, Gina Phillips (Rozzi), Brendan Bell, Ashley Bell, Ryan Webster, Peter Rozzi, Bethany Rozzi, four greatgrandchildren; Blake Webster, the twins Wyatt and Cullen Phillips and with her newest great grandchild Giovanna Patricia Rozzi the circle of life continues. She was quick with a hug and kiss for all and would spoil them with popsicles and goodies. Her constant companion ""Papi"" her Doberman was also spoiled. Patricia is survived by her beloved sister Jean Finley of Windham and her late husband James and beloved brother Donald and his wife Virginia Cushing of Gorham.
