Patricia M. "Pat" Farrell September 25, 1934 August 11, 2012 Portland - Patricia M. ""Pat"" Farrell, 77, of Portland, passed away on August 11, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born on September 25, 1934, the daughter of Peter and Margaret (Bernard) Gallant. She grew up in Portland, graduating from Cathedral High School. In 1958, she married William ""Bill"" Farrell, Sr. and the two raised five children together. Pat was very active, organizing senior citizen Bingo at St. Pius X Church for many years, as well as being an avid bingo player herself. She also loved bowling with the ""Foxy Ladies"", organizing and going on trips to casinos. Her other interests included anything outdoors; gardening, laying out in the sun, or ""sun worshiping"" as her family called it, going to the lake, garage sale-ing, playing cards and babysitting for her family. She truly loved spending as much time as she could with her family and friends. Pat is pre-deceased by her parents and her siblings, Frances Brown, Bernice O'Leary and Peter Gallant. She is survived by her husband Bill, Sr., their five children; Dawn Farrell and her partner Debbie Randall of Gray, Maureen Libby and her husband Steven of Scarborough, J.B. Farrell of Portland, Paul Farrell and his wife Kathy of Standish and Billy Farrell, Jr. of Portland. Patricia is also survived by her grandchildren; Rebecca and Scott, Brian, Nicole, Matthew, Michael, Tyler, Serena and Jacob, her great-grandson, Colby as well as several nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at A.T. Hutchins, LLC Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 10am at St. Pius X Church, 492 Ocean Ave, Portland. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
